The Way We Live In The Covid-19 Era — In Pictures

Most of us are donning masks. It’s jarring when someone isn’t and yet it’s hard to get accustomed to a world of half-hidden faces. Supermarket shelves remain spotty, food prices have shot up. Gas costs $1.97 in New City — last time we saw prices under $2 a gallon was in the late 1990s. The streets are barren but potholes continue to be plugged. Donations pile up at drop sites that are closed off by yellow tape, as are the parks and public spaces.  Life limps on at limpid pace while we wait for some return to “normal.” Who knows what normal will look like? The Bowtie Cinema sign says “Be Back Soon.” Let’s hope so!
