PIERMONT CELEBRATES THE ARTS WITH A HUDSON VALLEY ARTS FESTIVAL
The riverfront village of Piermont, a jewel of the lower Hudson Valley, will host its first annual Piermont Hudson Valley Arts Festival on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 12 to 8 pm, rain or shine. Celebrating art in all its forms, this free event, developed and sponsored by the Piermont Chamber of Commerce, will bring together visual, musical, spoken word and performing arts. The event will feature “Meet the Artists” receptions at all the village’s renowned galleries, “Art in the Park” exhibitions of regional artists and unique hand–craft artisans, the “Piermont Film Festival”, live music, poetry and spoken word performances, and a host of interactive experiences for adults and children.
Piermont Chamber of Commerce President Kate Buggeln noted,“among artists, our village has been long known as a home for inspiration, a unique and welcoming place to live a creative life. Musicians, writers and visual artists of all kinds make their living here, while others come to visit, exhibit or perform at insider locations such as The Turning Point, where legendary musicians have taken stage since 1976. Our village fuses the Hudson River’s natural beauty with Main Street’s eclectic architecture and rich industrial
history to create a modern environment for artistic creativity”, she added.
This festival will show off Piermont’s artistic heart. Well–known artists will be featured alongside up–and–comers, so that attendees can meet and appreciate the full life cycle of creativity.”
