NAMI Rockland Proudly Presents “Breaking the Silence”

Orangeburg, NY – NAMI Rockland, West Hudson Psychiatric Society and a coalition of mental health agencies, and Finkelstein Memorial Library are proud to present the 2024 Public Forum “Breaking the Silence” on October 24 at 7PM, featuring speaker Dr. Alec Miller, PsyD.
His presentation “Making Sense of Teens, Screens, and Family Life through the Lens of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy” will be a free virtual program. Dr. Miller will discuss DBT and adolescent mental health wellness and issues such as school difficulties, mass shootings, bullying, social media, suicide and self-injury, and trauma. There will be an opportunity for questions and interaction with the audience. You may also send your questions in advance.
Dr. Alec Miller is a clinical psychologist, teacher, researcher, and treatment developer. He is co-author of the leading Dialectical Treatment manuals (DBT) for clinical and school settings, which are used worldwide. He is Co-Founder and Co- Director of Cognitive and Behavioral Consultants (CBC), a group practice and training center in White Plains, NY.
