The Arc Rockland Awarded $35,173 in Grants from NYSARC Trust Services
The Arc Rockland, a not-for-profit organization supporting people with disabilities in Rockland County, has been awarded $35,173 in grants from the Trustee Management Board of NYSARC Trust Services to support The Arc Rockland’s guardianship and recreation programs.
NYSARC Trust Services administers supplemental needs trusts (SNT) and pooled trusts that can make dramatic improvements to the lives of people with disabilities by enabling individuals to maintain financial eligibility for Medicaid and other means-tested government benefit programs. For 2024,
NYSARC Trust Services is proud to fulfill its commitment to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities by awarding a total of $2,697,508 to The Arc New York Chapters statewide.
This year, The Arc Rockland received $21,900 to provide guardianship services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who would not otherwise have a legal guardian or advocate. Supported by Chapter staff and community volunteers, The Arc Rockland’s Guardianship Program currently provides guardianship supports and services to three people and is ready to assist four more as a Standby or Alternate Standby guardian.
NYSARC Trust Services also awarded The Arc Rockland $13,273 to support new recreational opportunities and enrich the lives of approximately 600 individuals it serves. The Arc Rockland plans to use the recreation grant funds for individuals to participate in a variety of activities, including bowling, baseball, dance, bingo, and Special Olympics. Along with the physical benefits of these activities, our individuals gain socialization experiences and engagement in the community.

Nice-Pak Products Expands and Relocates Offices in 42,226 Sq. Ft. Office Lease at 1 Blue Hill Plaza in Pearl River
In the largest office lease of the past five years in Rockland County, CBRE announced the completion of a 42,226 sq. ft. office lease at 1 Blue Hill Plaza in Pearl River, NY. Nice-Pak Products, Inc., a global leading health wellness manufacturer, has committed to office space on the entire 21st and part of the 20th floor of the Class A office tower situated in Rockland County – only 20 minutes from Manhattan, and a short drive to Northern New Jersey, Westchester and Connecticut.
The CBRE team of James Tully, Jon Meisel and Brian Godau spearhead the leasing campaign at the property and represented the ownership, Glorious Sun Blue Hill Plaza LLC in the lease negotiations. while C&W acted on behalf of the tenant.
“As companies look for high quality space with outstanding amenities for their return to work plans, this transaction speaks directly to how 1 Blue Hill Plaza met all of Nice-Pak’s needs,” said Godau. “As a result, Nice-Pak will relocate its headquarters from Orangeburg, NY to one of the most outstanding Class A office towers in Rockland County.”

Rockland Community College Announces New Board of Trustees Officers
Rockland Community College (RCC) is pleased to announce the newly appointed officers of its Board of Trustees, during the board’s annual meeting on September 23, 2024. The new officers, all of whom have previously served as trustees, assumed their leadership roles for a two-year term, as per the Board’s bylaws.

- Vice Chair: Dana G. Stilley
- Secretary: Ileana Eckert (re-elected to her role)
- Community Outreach Liaison: Elana L. Yeger, Esq.
The Board and the entire RCC community extend their sincere gratitude to Martin Wortendyke, who recently completed his term as Chair of the Board of Trustees.
